Recently KC Panels (KCP) had completed production of an exterior job, which uses brick-alike ceramic as top veneer, and aluminum honeycomb panels as backing.

As many historical buildings used brick for construction, nowadays some new buildings adopt the same design to achieve classic look in modern times. However, the cost and time needed for brick works is huge, therefore the creative minds come up with the solution of aluminum honeycomb panels.

There is already a wide range of 9mm-thick brick-alike ceramics available on the market, some are with antique looks and aesthetically has no difference from real bricks. By gluing such ceramics onto large pieces of aluminum honeycomb panels, then finished with grouting, these panels leave the most time-consuming works in the factory. When the panels arrive to jobsite, it takes very little time for installation by using interlocking systems that connects the panels with the main structure of the building.

In this way to overall budget for the cladding part is cut down significantly, while at the same time the desired design intent can be perfectly met with.
